Andropause
Male hormone decline — restoring testosterone, vitality, and metabolic health in men through physician-supervised functional medicine.
Understanding the Condition
What Is Andropause?
Andropause, often called male menopause, refers to the gradual decline in testosterone and other hormones that occurs in men typically beginning in their 30s and 40s. Unlike female menopause, andropause is a slow, progressive process — but its effects on energy, mood, body composition, sexual function, and cognitive performance can be profound.
Symptoms include fatigue, reduced libido, erectile dysfunction, loss of muscle mass, increased body fat (especially belly fat), depression, irritability, brain fog, and poor sleep. Many men are told these are simply signs of aging. Functional medicine identifies and corrects the underlying hormonal and metabolic drivers.

Root Cause Medicine, Not Just Symptom Management
Testosterone decline in men is not simply an inevitable consequence of aging — it is driven by chronic stress, poor sleep, metabolic dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, and environmental toxin exposure. Low testosterone creates a cascade of metabolic and hormonal dysfunction that accelerates aging and increases cardiovascular and metabolic disease risk. Dr. Green addresses the full hormonal and metabolic picture, not just testosterone in isolation.

Give Your Body What It Needs to Thrive
Nutrition and supplements are about more than simply taking a daily vitamin. Your body needs the right nutrients, in the right amounts, to support energy, metabolism, hormones, immune function, and overall health. The challenge is knowing what your body actually needs.
At Viata Medical, we look beyond a basic supplement list. By evaluating your nutrition status, genetics, and laboratory results, we can identify areas where your body may need additional support. Your genetics can give us insight into your body's unique nutritional needs, while your current labs and nutritional status help us understand what your body needs right now. We then combine this information to create a personalized nutrition and supplement plan designed to support your health, wellness, and longevity.
